When Jerry and Mary Miller first opened the Old Mill in 2014, the small family-owned deli shop quickly gathered a following and reputation for delicious food. (I mean, hot-from-the-oven melty pizza and golden sandwiches with fresh ingredients…what's not to love?) The Old Mill quickly expanded into a bakery, bulk foods store, coffee shop, and more.

After 11 years in Valentine, the Millers handed over the reins to us (Colton and Abigail Gilbert), a couple who fell in love with the Old Mill when they first moved to the area a few years ago. Colton is originally from Florida. Before you gasp at what a different world that is, we must cordially remind you that we have one very important thing in common...lots and lots of sand.

We, with our partners Rob & Janet Parkhurst and Paul & Nicole Hotz, are building on the original owners' foundation of delicious food, excellent service, and a community focus to bring you that delicious pizza you've been craving.

We're a little slimmed down these days, in hours and menu, but we are committed to consistency and quality. We are also excited to partner with local ranchers and providers to bring you farm-fresh eggs, local meat, and more! 

So, come on in. Pull up a chair at the table. Let us make you a sandwich and pour you a coffee, and we can get to know each other!
